How much does a B2 exam cost?

Trinity College offers two B2 exams: one is a 2-skills test which tests your speaking and listening skills and the other is a 4-skills test which tests your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. Which B2 test you need depends on the type of visa application you are making.

For Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) for applications made on or after 26th March 2027 you need to pass a B2 English language test in speaking & listening. Our B2 English test (GESE Grade 7) is our speaking and listening test and costs £170.

For a Student or Work visa ,you may need to pass a B2 English language test in speaking, listening, reading and writing. This depends on the English requirements of the visa application you are making. Our B2 English test (ISE II) tests your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills and costs £200.
